This week I had to have several difficult conversations with people that I call friends.  I had to remind them they were not doing what they said they were going to do for themselves.  They were not holding themselves accountable to what we agreed upon.  That they were becoming hard to talk with and to simply be around because they were caught in a cycle of seeing only the bad and the “what could go wrong” in every situation.  Their glass was becoming overwhelmingly half empty in all aspects of their life.

To be a true leader, mentor, and friend means being honest, real and caring enough for them that you find the courage to have the tough conversations that you both know need to be had!
