When you ask people to define the term “Legacy”, frequently you hear ideas like these “it’s what people say about you after you have passed away” or “it’s what you leave behind”.

However, I’d like to ask you to think for a moment about your “living legacy”.

How does what you do or don’t do everyday impact those around you?

Are the people who share employment or social circles with you, viewed positively or negatively by the things you are doing now.

Will the people sharing your last name have opportunities afforded them or will doors be closed to them, because of what you have or have not done?

Would those that came before you see their sacrifices paying off in your actions?

Your legacy is not something that is simply defined when you pass away but by what you do every day you are alive!
