How do you decide if you are on the right path or if it is time to change directions?
Do you have “mile markers” established through your short-term goals to help you see progress?
Are you self-assessing and honestly evaluating not only your effort but your desire to continue?
Are you open to deviations in the path that still allow you to reach your destination?
I have found great success and more enjoyment in the process when I made a simple change.
I gave up trying to control the path to my success. Yes, read that again.
I gave up controlling the direct path to my success.
I know where I want to end up, but I no longer worrying about how I am going to get there.
I show up daily, work hard on my tasks to reach goals, but I am also open to seeing other opportunities, people and information that may come into my life, altering my expected path.
Just in the recent months I’ve been involved with hosting our first podcast workshop, coaching school district leaders, forming a new partnership for law enforcement training, buying a truck and an airstream!
Less than a year ago when I retired, none of these things were part of my expected path.
Yet by showing up, working hard and being open to opportunities, they are now all part of my family’s future!
