As human beings, we are social creatures and all of us, to varying degrees, desire to be part of a something bigger than ourselves. We all want to be liked, loved and to feel valued. Unfortunately, as “connected” as we all are through technology, we are as unattached from other human beings more so than ever.
Don’t get me wrong, I love technology, however, I am very mindful that likes, comments, shares and the other measuring sticks of “popularity” are not the real connections that feed my soul. It’s still the conversation with a stranger, meeting someone new for the first time, the coaching relationships, and time with family and friends that bring me the greatest value.
What does community look like to you?
